Chicks garland – Spring/Easter tiny hands crafts

chick garland | marmite et ponpon

Simple ideas come out the best when done with big love and tiny hands. As i always say, the most meaningful things are the ones that have your personal touch.

You are the ultimate plaything, and any activity will seem more fun if your child can share it with you. Sit down with your kids for joint creativity and fun to celebrate spring|Easter season.

Chicks garland, made with just flour, salt and water.

Mix:

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup salt
  • 1/2 cup water

Knead until smooth. If your dough is still crumbly you can add more water, or if it’s sticky you can add flour, you can always correct flour and water to get the consistency you want. Add yellow coloring gel to the dough and let your kids cut out circles.

You can bake it for 15-20 mns on 200ºC or leave it to air dry for 2 days, if you are using decorations that can’t be baked. If you are leaving it to air dry i suggest to flip it after one day. And let the fun begin; I am sure the kids will enjoy sticking the wiggling eyes, feathers and beak made with orange triangle cut out of felt.

Bunnies and chicks cups – kids craft

Easter bunnies and chicks cups

Cute and fun craft to do with your kids this Easter vacation, it makes a beautiful spring decoration too. A great educational and entertaining project, setting the mood for Easter before the eggs coloring.

First to do the bunnies, you will need

  • white cups
  • paint, we chose pink
  • pompoms
  • wiggling eyes
  • pipe cleaners
  • rope

Follow this step by step tutorial:

Your kids will love this craft and find it so fun that they wish to do so many bunnies not to finish quickly! Especially those dangling feet. If you couldn’t find a piece of rope, we used the handles of a paper bag 🙂

  • wiggling eyes
  • orange paper
  • yellow feather

Follow me step by step

Aren’t they cute? I think they will stay even after Easter. I love how they add the spring freshness to our decoration.

creative easter eggs – bunnies, carrots and chicks

Coloring eggs should be fun when you have kids. Just normal dyeing is not enough to impress my boy. we need creative ideas? and that’s how it started…

Bunnies, carrots and chicks and let the fun begin!

Dye the eggs with orange to make the carrots.

Then cut papers from different shades of green (to look realistic) as medium thin strips to make the carrots stems. I used wax gun to stick them.

And the carrots are ready.

Now we want bunnies to eat those carrots. No need to color the eggs, white is perfect. Cut out two big and two small ovals for the ears.

The nose is a small pompom bought ready made (for people in qatar you can buy it from daiso). Draw eyes and moustache with a black marker.

And the family bunnies found the carrots!

Adding chicks made the whole thing so cool. 3 easy steps to follow:

  • color blue eggs
  • stick yellow triangle for the nose
  • 2 black dots for the eyes

Then i realized there should be a male chick! Small rectangular cuts on a red paper and the comb is done!

I like the egg carton color, so why not use it for the decoration?!
